Instagram user and medical doctor @osehike shared some photos of a General Hospital in Nigeria’s most popular city, Lagos, that would not even be fit to rear animals.
At a time when the government is being hailed for doing outstanding work, these photos will shock you.
Now the Minister of Health, Prof Adewole have recently called out doctors and nurses for being a major factor contributing to the spread of the highly infectious Lassa fever. He believes that doctors and nurses are treating Lassa fever as common cold or flu, by not sticking to universally accepted protocol for the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
While this may be true, these pictures reveal a fundamental deficiency characteristic in almost all government owned hospitals.
