Europe is one of the worst-hit continents by COVID-19 in the world. Many studies have projected that the United Kingdom will have the worst outcome among all European countries.
The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) in Seattle predicts 66,000 UK deaths from COVID-19 by August, with a peak of nearly 3,000 a day, based on a steep climb in daily deaths early in the outbreak.
With this projection, the UK will lose more health care workers many of whom are under the NHS. The NHS relies on Foreign Medical Graduates to function adequately. A significant number of NHS workers are Whites, Blacks, Chinese, and Mixed.
