The Assistant Secretary General Elect of the Nigerian Medical Students Association has refutted an earlier publication on the Associations election of its first female president. Mr Obasi Chinedu, NIMSA Assistant Secretary General Elect refutted the said publication and was saddened by the false propaganda.

According to him, at the last General conference conducted in Zaria, Mr Nwekpa Williams from the University of Nigeria emerged victorious as the president-elect, while the Candidate from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Mr John Chukwu stepped down before the election on Sunday (13th) morning.
Chinedu went further to add that ‘the candidates from the Niger Delta University, Miss Erapade and her supporters from the west left the venue of the election at ABU zaria in anger after they observed that they were going to loose and things weren’t going their way.
The election was conducted, and produced the following officials for the 2016/2017 session:
