The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. There is increasing evidence that more men may be coming down with breast cancer. This is unlike in the past. But the good thing is that, early detection and prompt treatment is key to survival from the cancer.
However, to mark this month Flying Doctors Nigeria, on its twitter handle, @FlyingDoctorsNG, reminds all of the commonest symptoms that may just indicate the presence of breast cancer. The symptoms are:
- Lump in your breast
- Swelling in or around your breast, collarbone or armpit
- Breast skin thickness or redness
- Warm breast that may be itching
- Nipple Change
- Nipple discharge
- Pain.
This list is not exhaustive, but it sure would point out to you that you need to see a Doctor, especially if it turns to be a cancer…
