It is a fact that as a student, academic work could be quite strenuous. Yea… I know the feeling. Already my friend who is a final year anatomy student, can only be thankful to God who have made him come almost to the end of the road, as a student of Anatomy. He speaks so highly of how he has to pass so many courses, with some getting a heavy credit load.
I do not know how he will take this news, since the Anatomical Society Of Nigeria (ASN), have just directed all departments of Anatomy in the country to add another 9 new courses to the curricula. This was part of the outcome of the just concluded Anatomical Society of Nigeria Scientific conference and Annual General Meeting, and published in its communique.
Yes, you heard me!!!… 9 solid courses. See the new courses that is to be added.
Behavioural and Reproductive Biology, Mortuary Science and Funeral Directing, Introduction to Forensic Science, Medical Anthropology and Archeology, Stereology and Biological Morphometry, Basic Histopathology, Sports Science, Aesthetics and Cosmetology and Basic Prosthetics.
Participants at the conference where these new courses were added believe that, it is to make graduates of Anatomy easily employable.
Best of Luck my anatomy friends, hehehe!!!
