Kindly follow these 4 steps, one at a time, for a successful registration of your Annual Practice License for 2019. This is courtesy Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
Members are also reminded to have a printout.
Visit the MDCN website and set up your profile page (if you haven’t done so previously). It’s simple and easy. Follow the pop-up till you receive a confirmation from MDCN that your profile set was successful. A profile with up-to-date payment for the annual practicing license is a pre-requisite for the 2019 registration.

Visit the remita website @ www.remita.net and pay for your annual practice license of N10,000 for those less than 10 years of practice. N20,000 for those 10 years and above (your year of induction is your first year of practice). On successful payment, Remita will issue you a payment receipt with Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code. This code is your online evidence of payment.
Go back to your profile page on the MDCN website, click on the annual practicing license, follow the prompts until you are required to supply your RRR number. Enter the code generated from remita. You have successfully paid for your practicing license.
To get a print out of your license from MDCN:
- FOR MEDICAL OFFICERS AND CONSULTANTS: On the MDCN website, click on “My License” and upload your CPD/CME Points. You need a minimum of 20CME points acquired within 2018 to enable you to get 2019 license.
- FOR RESIDENT DOCTORS: On the MDCN website, click on “My License” and upload your “Appointment Letter”. MDCN will verify your License and send a copy of your 2019 practicing license to your page. When it is ready, you will be notified to download and print out.
The entire process is expected to be easy, flexible, and simple.
Note Also: This process will be successful only when you have been able to pay for the Building Levy of N20,000.
