Keenly, I follow the activities of both women, more out of admiration than curiosity.
Bello Disu and Folorunsho Alakija remain top in their league because of the uniqueness of their actions and their involvement in public issues.
They have once again seized the moment to solidify their unblemished action to the public good in a pandemic that still holds the world at its jugular.
While many donations and contributions keep pouring into Nigeria to help her fight the Coronavirus pandemic, it is a fact that over half of these come from the male gender, even though it is my personal opinion that women are more compassionate and more inclined to give.
This post is to simply extol the donations of two of Nigeria’s finest – Bella Disu, Director at Globacom Nigeria and Chief Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, Vice Chairman at Famfa Oil Limited.
Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija took to her LinkedIn account to share what she and her family would be contributing to help Nigeria fight the Coronavirus pandemic to the end!
Mrs. Alakija is hailed for being the richest black woman in the world.
DoctorsQuarters Recommendations:
It is our humble opinion that many more women of equal standing and caliber exist in Nigeria. Nigeria is currently is in trying times and we need all the help we can get.
The Americans, the Chinese, the British, nor the Canadians or whomever we have put our hope in, would fail us because they cannot even help themselves fully.
So the times call for inhouse solutions, from highly resourceful and focused individuals. To save all is to save yourself.
