RESUSCITATION LINE: THERAPEUTIC HYPOTHERMIA.

New research says that using THERAPEUTIC HYPOTHERMIA to treat comatose patients who have experienced cardiac arrest and who have nonshockable  initial rhythms can increase their chance of survival neurologically.

Therapeutic hypothermia or targeted temperature management has been widely accepted as the only known therapy to impart neuroprotection to the post-cardiac arrest patients with anoxic injury resulting in coma after the return of spontaneous circulation.
