This trend is known as “drunkorexia,” the practice refers to a combination of diet-related behaviors, such as food restriction, excessive exercise, or binge eating and purging, with alcohol use, lead investigator Dipali V. Rinker, PhD, research assistant professor, University of Houston, in Texas, told Medscape Medical News.
Besides happening in the US, it is not uncommon to find the youths of nowadays and even adults involved in Drunkorexia. When alcohol is taken in excess, it prevents you from getting the appropriate nutrients you require from a healthy balanced diet.
