1. According to the statutory functions of the Board in accordance to Section 8 subsection 1 (a, b and c) of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Act, M9 LFN 2004. to
publish the names of the registrants regularly, to infiltrate discipline and decorum into the professionals and eliminate quackery, the Board will be publishing the names and license status of all her registrants by the end of July, 2016 nd is set to declare the names of absconders/defaulters in the Nigeria Dailies and the Board’s website.
2. There’s an upcoming publication exercise of the Nigeria Health Directory (NHD), which is going to be a comprehensive compendium of healthcare practitioners in
Nigeria to enhance communication within the health care industry, National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and also with members of the public. Therefore, the Board (MRTB) needs the registrants to provide the following information:
– evidence of their 2016 Professional Practicing licence, Current name (if change of name), Current address (if any), Age, Marital status, Gender, Place of work, Professional status (if any), E-mail address, Phone number and Other relevant information to form Boards’ recommendation and guidelines to the NHIS and NHD on the Medical Rehabilitation Professionals available in Nigeria’s healthcare institutions.
Please send all the required information to firstname.lastname@example.org
The Board (MRTB) is therefore calling all Physiotherapists and Medical Rehabilitation professionals as listed above in your institutions, to ensure that their data is updated. Those that are yet to renew their licence for the year 2016 are to avail themselves of this opportunity of renewing on or before the 30th of June, 2016 to avoid the embarrassment of being omitted in the publication. Please note that presentation of current licence should be a pre-requisite for employment and promotion exercise as registrants practicing without a current licence is a quack.
Thank you in anticipation of your prompt response.
