Job Vacancy: Housemanship & Internship Positions opens in the Nigerian Airforce

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for limited vacancies for the 2018 Housemanship/internship at the 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Ikeja in the following medical fields:

  1. Medicine
  2. Pharmacy
  3. Medical Laboratory Science
  4. Physiotherapy
  5. Optometry

REQUIREMENTS:

a). Medical Doctors: Candidates applying for housemanship must possess the following:

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Provisional registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria

b). Pharmacists

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
  • Provisional certificate of registration from the Council

c). Medical Laboratory Science

  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
  • Provisional certificate of registration from the Council

d). Physiotherapy

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Provisional certificate of registration from the Council

e). Optometry

  • Doctor of Optometry
  • Provisional certificate of registration from the appropriate Council

METHODS OF APPLICATION

Application forms are obtainable free of charge at the following centers:

a). 661 NAF Hosp. Ikeja Lagos

b). 461 NAF Hosp. Kaduna.

Completed application forms, with written applications together with relevant documents are to be submitted at any of the 2 centers mentioned above within 2 weeks of this advertisement. Candidates are to affix 1 passport photograph to the application form. Shortlisted candidates would be invited via SMS for the selection interview at one of the 2 centers

Successful candidates will be expected to work at 661 NAF Hospital Ikeja Lagos only for the period of one year. House Officers/Interns would be provided free accommodation and paid salaries according to current scale approved by the Federal Government.

During the period, House Officers/Interns are expected to work under appropriate consultants/specialists and abide by the civil service regulations as well as the ethics governing individual conducts of their professions.

Closing date for the submission of application  is 13 November 2017.
