RECTOR of the Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, Enugu, Dr. Kehinde Sofoluwe, has expressed concern over challenges faced by tertiary institutions seeking to access funds from donor agencies.

Sofoluwe specifically decried difficulties encountered in accessing grants from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.
She spoke during the inauguration of information and communication technology equipment donated to the college by Lagos State Assurance Limited.
The rector said that the inability to access the grants, as well as the general poor level of funding for tertiary institutions, was responsible for infrastructural challenges in the college.
“The state of facilities in this college since I assumed in 2008 has been very deplorable. The partial reason for this is the poor state of funding and inability of the college to access funds from donor agencies like TETFUND.
